Here at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, it’s been a busy and wonderful few months. I’ve been working on a production of Cymbeline with Antoni Cimolino (as his assistant director). Shifting into assistant directing mode was an adjustment, particularly after directing Cinderella at The Grand, (20 peeps in the cast and lots of fun technical elements!). It’s been a great pleasure to work with Antoni, he’s been very inclusive in his process.

It’s also been a treat to work with a superb acting company and to be working in the Tom Patterson theatre, a elongated thrust space.

I’ll write more about the process soon. It’s the opening week at Stratford: six openings in six evenings! A wonderful week of theatre in a city of 32 000 people.

Congratulations to all the people who’ve collaborated to create this spare, beautiful, passionate production of Cymbeline!
